Description:

Amadeus, a global travel technology powerhouse with a presence across 100+ locations, is hiring a QA Engineer 2 for its airline application team in Bangalore. Operating under a collaborative hybrid workspace model, this role centers on executing comprehensive end-to-end testing cycles across mission-critical user interfaces, APIs, and backend database systems. You will translate complex airline business workflows into programmatic test conditions, run regression sweeps across multiple development environments (SIT, UAT, staging), perform root-cause analysis (RCA) alongside software developers, and log defects within active Agile/Scrum delivery sprints.

• 3 to 6 years of professional software quality assurance experience handling an optimized blend of manual and automated testing strategies.
• Thorough, conceptual understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), advanced test case optimization, tracking test boundaries, and mapping defect lifecycles through to verified closures.
• Hands-on experience developing, modifying, and maintaining automated test scripts utilizing modern frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Practical proficiency executing interface verification, schema checks, and payload validations using Postman or equivalent REST-based test libraries.
• Solid capability writing structured SQL queries to manage backend data validations and database state checks.
• Active experience managing defects and structuring regression suites inside tools like JIRA and TestRail.
• Foundational familiarity tracking or triggering automated test suites inside continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, paired with the communicative balance needed to flag risks and align with product stakeholders during daily Scrum stand-ups.
